With a work rate that would put most musicians to shame, Moony once again proves why he is one of the most talented up and coming producers in the UK today as he returns with not one but two brand new EPs this month.
Already this year he has had releases out on 1st Stepz Records and Progress Intelligence, as well as featured on Spooky’s ‘Allstars EP’ and put out a remix EP through Bandcamp, but from what we can see the Brighton lad shows no sign of slowing down, as he continues to churn out music of which is of an extremely high calibre.
For release number one we see the ‘Pluck Off’ EP , which happens to be the debut release from DJ Mak Ten’s electronic music and artists management agency Tenn Music. Containing four tracks altogether, such as the bouncy garage sounds of ‘My Side’ and ‘Pace’, to the warm jazziness of ‘Pluck Off’ and sombreness of ‘You Changed’, the EP is a prime example of why Moony is certainly no one trick pony.
Next up is part two of ‘The Remix EP’ series, which as the name suggests see’s Moony take on a handful of well known tracks and put his own spin on it. Again Moony refuses to stick to just one genre as we hear a bit of 2-step and 4×4 garage with remixes of Beyoncè’s ‘End Of Time’, ‘Rolling Stone’ from The Weekend and Tina Moore’s ‘Never Gonna Let You Go’, as well as a deep house mix of ‘Bodyswerve’ from M Gee and Mica Paris.
